Digital With Degas

digital ultrasonic cleaners with degassing

Degassing is standard on all our DK Sonic digital ultrasonic cleaners. What is degassing? Read here >>>>.

Digital models have a push button to set the cleaning time (0 - 99 minutes) and temperature (0 - 80 degrees C) with an LED display. The cleaning can be stopped mid-cycle and the temperature shows both the target and actual water temperature in the tank. In a workplace environment and working with hot water, there might be a health and safety implication that requires the tank temperature to be visible to prevent scalding by an employee, for example in a dental practice or garage.

Degassing is a pre-programmed cycle that removes microscopic air bubbles trapped in the cleaning fluid. The fluid is optimised to give the most efficient clean possible in a restricted space, perfect for applications such as carburettors with many small bores and blind holes..

Digital control cleaners do not always clean to a better standard than analogue models, but they do have greater control over the heating and ultrasonic cycle times. If you are cleaning items externally (old spanners etc) go for analogue. If you are cleaning anything internally (carburettors etc), digital with degassing would be the way to go. An analogue (dial control) machine has a maximum run time of 20 minutes. Digital versions can run up to 99 minutes.
