The common tank sizes for carburettor cleaning are 3 litre (small single carbs) up to 27 litre (bank of 4 or 6 carbs). There is also a special elongated model specifically for cleaning banks of four motorcycle carburettors from multi-cylinder engines. Our Ultrasonic Carburettor Cleaners are made from stainless steel and built to operate quietly in the workplace. What’s the Best Size Ultrasonic Cleaner for a Carburettor? (The most common question asked).

There's no such thing as a standard size because there are thousands of variations out there. When considering which Ultrasonic Carburettor Cleaner to buy, the primary consideration is the actual size of the tank. It's not the volume that's important, but the internal dimensions. The question to consider is whether the carburettor you want to clean will fit inside the tank. The only way to be certain is to measure it. Measure twice, purchase once.

Take into consideration that if you want to use a steel basket in the machine (and most people do), it it reduces the usable dimensions by up to 12 mm on each side. The technical specification for each ultrasonic cleaner shows all the dimensions. Measure twice, purchase once. 

The heart of any ultrasonic cleaner is the transducer. It’s the component that generates the ultrasonic waves. The more transducers fitted to an ultrasonic bath, the better the cleaning will be.

Which model do I buy? There are two versions for most sizes of ultrasonic carburettor cleaner. The more you pay, the greater control you have over the cleaning process.

1) Manual adjustment. The analogue adjustment ultrasonic carburettor cleaner has two dials. One to set the cleaning time (0-20 minutes) and another for the temperature adjustment (20 - 80 degrees C). There is no LED display.

2) Digital with degassing mode. These tanks have a button to set the cleaning time (0-99 minutes) and temperature (0 - 80 degrees C) with an LED display. The display shows both the target and actual (real time) water temperature. Degassing quickly removes air trapped in the cleaning fluid making the whole process more effective.
